Wrapping Up for Fall

Eek, can you believe that I’m talking about dressing for Fall already? Although I am probably getting a little bit too ahead of myself, I think that now is the perfect time to start transiting our summer pieces to something more a little more cold-weather appropriate, especially here in the UK.

Wrap dresses weren’t always a piece that I imagined that I would have in my wardrobe. Although they have been hailed by the likes of DVF for their flattering qualities and ultimate ease, I always thought they were a bit too ‘adult’ looking for my style… with the worry that they would look more office wear than day time.

But, with the rise of brands like Love & Lemons and other American brands alike, the wrap dress has become the ultimate style of the LA, effortless chic girl. When Shein got in touch to pick out a few pieces from their site, I instantly gravitated towards this dress and found myself constantly thinking about it! It only came as a bonus that it was also in the sale.

I love the cut of this dress as it hits me just below the ankle, and the tie detailing gives a really flattering shape to the waist, making it look slimmer and more defined. Which really, is the beauty of the wrap dress. There is also no denying that a high split (that can be concealed or revealed) helps to stop the dress from looking like office wear.

Just as a heads up too if any of you do purchase from Shein, I would almost always advise buying one size up from what you would usually get as the sizing does run small. What I like about the website is that if you scroll down on an item, you can see a Style Diary and Customer Reviews on that product, which can be really helpful in determining what size you think would best fit you.

What do you guys think to the wrap dress? Is it an essential in your wardrobe?
