THOSE KINKY BOOTS

I have a lot to think these kinky boots for, mainly for getting me my free morning coffee.

I have a lot to thank these boots for. Most recently for getting me a free coffee and granola pot at Pret! I couldn’t have asked for a better start to my morning, all because the barista liked my kinky leopard print boots. Great!

That day also happened to be the day that I conducted a very exciting interview with the fabulous Sue Tilley, a lovely and wonderful women who lived through the 80s club scene, was best friends with Leigh Bowery and muse to Lucian Freud. It was fair to say that I was feeling the nerves, and these boots helped me get my morning off to a good start!

The above explains my absence on the blog recently. I’m currently in the mist of curating a magazine with a group of other people… all from scratch. Yep, so that’s layout, writing, graphics, shooting in the studio and planning editorial photo-shoots. I’m loving it, but it also means that I’m in the library 7x a week working non stop on my ideas and content as well as trying to write an essay too a university assignment too!

That, unfortunately, is leaving me with not a lot of time to give my blog the required attention that it deserves.

I hope that, if you’re an avid reader of Atelier of Style that you’ll forgive me for the next 2 weeks! But make sure that you’re following me on social media, which I’m keeping updated. You can find me on Instagram here and Twitter here, so come and say hello!

I know that in recent blog posts, I’ve said bye bye to skinny pants. But feeling that I had over worn my Whistles boyfriend pants (like, as if that’s even possible) I pulled out these ripped skinny jeans. Despite having very cold knees for most of the day, I was pleasantly surprised at their comfort! After all, I may exclaim that skinny jeans are no longer a thing, but they’re just too good to ever fully get rid of!

P.s Ripped jeans look so much better when they’re actually ripped on the knee. So make sure you’re slits aren’t on your shin and don’t look like two peep holes. The key? Rip them more yourself! Honestly, it looks so much better.
