LAYER UPON LAYER

When it gets so cold that you have to start wearing not just one, but two coats.

The weather has suddenly dropped and it is freezing cold outside in London town, forcing us all to showcase our layering skills as best as we can. Don’t be fooled by any hints of sunlight or cherry blossom trees, it’s the wind that’s your worst enemy.

Feeling restricted stylistically in my jeans, I wanted to experiment with the top half of my outfit. Not sure why I ever felt as if I couldn’t layer a coat on top of a jacket, it was an obvious choice! Hell, why not even layer a coat on top of a coat? Now there’s something worth considering…

With my trusted leather jacket and my long grey coat which you may have seen here, I felt set to brave the cold winds of the south, only feeling a little bit of breeze around my ankles and neck.

This day, specifically Valentines Day, called for a stroll around Kingston town in which we tried to make as romantic as possible by taking a walk down by the river Thames and visiting as many street food stalls as we could possibly stomach at the market.

Being so busy and caught up inside with uni deadlines and work, it’s important to take a day off every few weeks or so to spend time outdoors in nature, surrounding yourself with other people and sharing new experiences with others.

Today is the start of London Fashion Week, which I’m so excited about! I’m heading into central on Saturday as I’m interviewing someone really exciting for a magazine I’m currently producing and hopefully I’ll be able to pop by some of the madness while I’m there!

Who are you most looking forward to seeing?
