90s KID

Because who doesn’t enjoy a good designer logo tee?

This week has felt hella productive. I have managed to secure two interviews for a magazine that a few of us are working on, and I’m managing to successfully get myself out of bed by 8am every morning. Sometimes I feel like I’m getting on with so much university work and research, admin type jobs on the computer that I can’t capture to make a pretty Instagram photo that it’s hard for me to describe what I’ve been up to in an interesting manner, because let’s face it, there’s nothing that interesting about university libraries is there. Well, unless you count all the amazing books and 60s British Vogue magazines that are just brilliant to look through, my takeaway coffee cup from the canteen just doesn’t look quite look Instagram-worthy in comparison to Starbucks.

This look is one quite different for me so I purposefully went for a 90s themed aesthetic, one that I feel was and has been a ‘trend’ that has stuck around for quite some time, but is perhaps slowly taking a back seat til’ next season. This Sisley t shirt was a surprise find that I managed to nab and I can’t say no to a good logo tee. Wanting to stay away from shooting something Terry Richardson esque (you know those Sisley adverts I’m talking about right?) but still wanting something that felt a bit more youthful, 90’s and casual I simply paired it with my go-to boyfriend jeans and the ever faithful Stan Smiths.

This weekend I have a special visitor staying over which will spice up a normal weekday routine of heading to the library daily. Although it has somewhat disrupted my flow with lazy mornings having breakfast in bed and casual strolls around the town, it’s probably a much needed chance to recharge.

How has your week been? Are you following NYFW? I know I’m hella jealous that I’m not there! But getting to watch the coverage of shows from my warm bedroom can’t be so bad.
