STANDING OUT

Is that colour? Really, Heather are you feeling okay?

The answer is yes, I’m totally fine in fact. (Perhaps something to do with recently joining the rat race in the London comminute each morning and evening…) This outfit may feel like I’m going from one extreme to the other – after all, my suitcase I packed to come back home was packed entirely with black clothing – but it’s not that I’ve ever had a dislike or distaste to anything orange and furry, but rather I just tend to gravitate towards my neutrals and before I know it, I’m in an all black outfit once again.

Now, I’m not saying I don’t a good black outfit, I do, but I do feel like my wardrobe is lacking a bit of colour, and how better to get yourself into the habit of doing something then plunging head first into something, which in my case is a tub of orange paint!

I love how without the coat, the outfit looks a lot more minimal and clean, but with the coat the outfit elevates itself to a whole new level. The black buttons help to bring the look together by tying in the colours within the outfit.

Although I am at risk of looking a little like an orange Emu and I have just bought myself another fur coat as we’re entering into Spring (I just couldn’t help myself!), I can see myself wearing this coat A LOT as I channel my inner Solange.

It adds instant pazazz to any outfit and certainly turns heads.

Would you dare to wear an orange coat? Leave me your thoughts below!
