I’ve always heard the tales of Notting Hill, with its quintessentially English houses, each uniquely painted in their own shade of pastel hue. I was instantly captured, leaping and frolicking in front of blue, pink and yellow bricks like a newly born lamb. It turns out Wonderland mag also had the same idea to shoot in the same area! Thankfully, we didn’t happen to bump into each others territory…
We managed to catch some beautiful bits of light during the final hours of sunlight that make me so excited for summer evenings and long evening walks, picnics in the park.
Each year Topshop comes out with that one staple, sell-out playsuit and I have a feeling that this is this year’s top seller. Last year, it was the strapless, palm tree print playsuit that I’m sure you’ll all remember! I coveted that playsuit for sooooooo long! So I thought this year I would get in there early and bag it before it goes!
Classic, clean, playful and cheeky with a feminine touch, this jumpsuit is going to my go-to for any summer occasion. Last year it was all about the skort, but this year is all about the bardot style top.
I’m currently in the process of potentially booking my summer get away for this year, anywhere with a beach, pool and sun will do for me! I’m currently back at home in Yorkshire and the weather is fluctuating between sunlight, hailstone and snow all within a few hours! I feel like all my emotions are being exhausted just watching it…
Since going traveling around Europe with my bestie for a month a couple of years back, I’ve been travel sick ever since and watching Louis Cole’s vlogs of him traveling around the world at the moment for Solvey is making my wanderlust more fiery than ever!
On the topic of inspiring people, Aileen Xu has just released her first episode on her new podcast, which was a fine way for me to start my morning! Kicking it off on a topic that took me a long time to overcome and one which I’m still practicing each and every day, and that is becoming stronger than your fears. I think we all need to be reminded to practice self love and self belief every now and then.
I think it’s brilliant that there are so many amazing podcasts coming out at the moment, Filler Podcast (of course), Pardon My French and Monocycle to name a few. I did a post a while back naming my favourite when I first recognized them getting bigger and bigger, but I think I’ve exhausted all of them now! If you have any recommendations, leave me them below. I’d love to be able to do my own podcast series one day. As part of my Journalism practice, I have interviewed many creatives and it’s always been my favourite thing to do! Talking to people, getting to know what drives them and inspires them. Picking up their good energy always pushes me forward to do bigger and better things!
