Children of the Sun

As soon as I put on this dress I instantly reached for my cowboy boots. This look would have been perfect for strolling around Coachella in, although anything with sleeves is an instant no-no for me in any hot weather so it’s probably best saved for the English version of summertime.

You’ve probably heard this a thousand times already today, but can you believe we are in May already!? It’s beyond crazy to me how fast this year is flying by already, each month is a huge reminder to me of why it’s so important to make the most of each and every day.

Recently I’ve being thinking about seasonal depression. Now, it’s not like I live in Iceland where the country is in darkness for the majority of the year, but it sometimes sure feels like I’m trapped underneath the grey, gloomy clouds. Especially when I’m back home from London, feeling even more confined within the small town that I grew up in. At night, I can come alive with ideas and passionate thoughts under the presence of the moon. My thoughts shine as bright as the night stars and I lose myself in the aura of the twilight. But we are children of the sun, and whilst the night is for dreaming and thinking, the day is for experiencing and living.

But such is our capacity to dream inside our minds, that I create these moments of solitude within my mind that whenever I’m feeling low, I take myself too a brighter and sunnier place within the depths of my mind to enhance my mood. What do you do to feel better on a rainy day?

I’ve had a lovely break from the fast pace of London back at home, but I now feel myself craving the city again! It doesn’t take long. I just know that that’s where I want to be right now, it makes me feel energised and motivated. I have a few things planned for when I return back down that I’ll be able to share with you soon but in the meantime, I’m really enjoying posting more consistently on the blog and I’m working to ways that I can keep this up whilst still producing good content. Interacting with you guys always keeps me on track and I love it when I hear from you, so make sure you’re following on all my Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
