Podcasts I Love Part II

So last August, I made a post discussing the Top 3 Podcasts that I loved listening to. The first podcast I watched that got me hooked into this whole other online world, was Filler, and I actually had the opportunity to go to Filler Live earlier this year! Which was, #amazeballs. In fact, it was there that I managed to meet the lovely Estée Lalonde, who after a delightful chat encouraged me to make my first ever ‘speaking’ Youtube video! (which you can watch here).

Although I had a twinge that Podcasts were really going to take off, I was, at the time, disappointed that I didn’t feel that there a wide enough variety on the market to cater for my taste. So here I am, half a year and I’m pleased to say that there are a plenty more that I have discovered!

So, do go check out my first Podcast post here as I still highly recommend those mentioned. But here are some newbies that have recently come onto the scene, as well as some older ones that I have just discovered. Check them out and let me know what you think about them!

Well-Being

The Lavendaire Lifestyle, by Alieen Xu

I discovered Aileen on Youtube and was captured by her sense of realness and the topics that she discussed.
Aileen truly shares her soul on this podcast to make for an authentic, honest and charming listen for anyone who is wanting to create their dream life.

Magic Lessons, by Elizabeth Gilbert

It was actually through listening to The Lavendaire Series that I was introduced to Magic Lessons.

The name Elizabeth Gilbert – the author of Eat, Pray, Love – had been on my radar and hadkept cropping up in various places. So it was of no surprise that I had been led to this amazing podcast, inspired by her latest book Big Magic, which I have yet to read!

Monocycle, by Leandra Medine

One I have been listening to ever since her first episode, hosted by Leandra Medine. I don’t know if I quite put into words how great these are, so I just want to recommend that you listen to them.
Each podcast on average 10 minutes long and you’ll feel like you’ve just had that conversation with a long lost friend at a coffee shop who just seems to get you like no one else does. Interested now?

Interview/Chatty

Pardon My French, Garance Doré

If you want to feel like part of a really cool girl group, sitting and chatting with Isabel Marant and Caroline De Maigret, discussing makeup, boys and clothes, then this is the podcast you’ve been waiting for.

Hosted by Garance Doré, this podcast makes for some charming and witty conversations amongst friends, celebrity or not, and is the perfect thing to listen to whilst taking that stroll through the park on your way to work.

Ctrl Alt Delete, Emma Gannon

I came to hear of this podcast due to one of her guests being Zoe Sugg aka. Zoella. As someone who is deeply immersed in the Youtube community, I was curious as to what Zoella had to say as part of a deeper chat about her work and life. Each conversation is focused around social media and how everything online has changed peoples lives, which is right up my alley! Not to mention that Elizabeth Gilbert was another one of her interviewees! *squeal*

Ladies Who Lunch, by Ingrid Nilsen + Cat Valdes

A fairly recent venture into the podcast world comes from Ingrid Nilsen and Cat Valdes. I have been watching Ingrid on Youtube for years and I think everyone has felt her really come into her own self within the past year. They discuss everything from sex, relationships, social phobias and more, making for some of their podcasts deemed as ‘explicit’ which I think just goes to show that this is one podcast that will have you in stitches!

Business

The Start-Up School, Seth Godin

A bit of a different one in comparison to all the rest that I’ve recommended above in terms of topic, but one that I still rate just as highly.

When I began getting interested in marketing and business strategies, Seth Godin was the one who I listened to through varies Ted Talks. So to see he had turned one of his conferences into a podcast was a great chance for me to work my way through the 15 Episodes and learn a bit more about what Seth has to say on the ever evolving landscape of marketing. Not one to miss!
