Skincare Brand to Know: Mario Badescu

Although I would say that Atelier of Style is primarily a Fashion blog, I have always been involved in the beauty community and have considered myself quite up to speed in regards to latest beauty brands, releases and innovations. So you can imagine that I found myself quite shocked when my younger sister introduced me to this skincare brand called Mario Badescu that I had never heard if before (have I already turned uncool?).

It appears that I have been seriously out of the loop as this brand has been around for over 40 years and is hailed by celebrities like Jennifer Aniston and Kylie Jenner for working wonders on their skin. But, I figured that if I had somehow missed the memo on this brand, that some of you might have as well… and I think it’s about time that we got to know.

What surprised me most about this line was the price point! So affordable for such high quality ingredients. I’ve been trying to scout the best affordable skincare for ages but found nothing that I felt was really worth preaching about on the high street. Much like the simple packaging of the brand, the ingredients and whole philosophy of the brand is simple too. It’s simply all about good, natural and effective skincare.

Products worth trying:

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion – Although I haven’t personally tried, it’s known for it’s miracle of making spots disappear overnight!

Facial Spray with Aloe Herbs and Rosewater – Perfect for cooling down in the summer or even de-stressing both the mind and skin on long flights.

The Hydrating Moisturizer with Biocare and Hyaluronic Acid has been great at keeping my skin feeling full of life and moisture. I was really surprised to see that Hyaluronic Acid was included in this product as it is usually something found in premium products. It is a really important ingredient to look for in skincare products such as moisturizer and serums because of its ability to hold onto vast amounts of water. Leaving the skin looking plump, youthful and luminous!
