Worth It

I can’t quite put my finger on the weather at the moment. But I’ll stop myself there and refrain from talking about the weather like a typical English citizen… but how crazy has it been!?

For an evening in the city, just as the sun was setting, the trusty boyfriend jeans and strappy heels combo was a safe option. So I paired it with this amazing peplum style fringed top that has beading detail all around the front of the top to add a slight bit of interest to the outfit. It also has a lot of holes… so do not be fooled, you WILL feel like you are walking around shirtless and I would absolutely advise a undergarment as an essential item in the transition to Spring.

This evening I will be setting back down on the train to my adventures to London. I always feel nervous upon returning, a mixture of nerves and excitement as I leave the comfort of my hometown and motherly care. With trying to put all my efforts into curating content for this blog, it can often feel like I have no plans when my diary looks almost blank for the month ahead. Self motivation is such a powerful thing to master, but challenging to truly harness.

I don’t know if anyone else who works for themselves feels this, but from conversations I’ve had with other creatives and #girlbosses, setting targets and jobs for yourself always seems harder than if you were doing the same job for someone else. I think this comes from the way our education system brought us up, with exams and homework teaching us to wait and save our ideas for when someone of a higher authority tells us to do them. I’m slowly retraining myself to see the tasks I set myself as equally as important, which is all part of the journey of self-belief and confidence, to not doubt yourself or your abilities and to KNOW your worth.

I hope you all enjoyed a restful bank holiday and a lovely week!
