I’m sure we’ve all had one of them moments when we try something on and look in the mirror to find what we’ve put on literally feels like second skin. Well, thats exactly what I felt when I tried on this jumpsuit the other week in Topshop. ‘It’s just so, you!’ my mum exclaimed, and that was that. Sold.

I feel like I’ve possibly said this a few times in my blog before (probably because it’s been the only thing occupying my mind), but I’ve felt in a real rut with my closet recently. All of a sudden it just didn’t feel like… ME.

It all started with me wanting a bit of a change in life in general. After beginning to open myself up to reading more about minimalism (there is a great podcast about it here) and reading that Marie Kondo book, I knew what I had to do. This led to an entire wardrobe clear out, selling a few bits and bobs on eBay and then planning out what I needed to replace.

But let’s save all that for another blog post shall we… would you guys like to see it? I’ve been jotting down notes about my tips and tricks and what I’ve learnt in my closet rehaul journey and I would love to share them with you!

I still have a long way to go in filling my wardrobe back up with pieces that I truly love, but I’m excited to have got the ball rolling! It means that I have made way for some great pieces like this one. I must also admit that I have, like many others, fallen for the colour grey. Now I can’t say that I’m much a cool person, I would never wear grey or cooled toned eyeshadows. They just reallllly don’t suit me! In fact, 99.9% of the time you see me, I’ll be wearing a bronzed eyelid.

But there’s something that I love about the cool, ashy tones in these images. Perhaps it’s because I’m blonde, and I think it offsets the colour well. I always try to go for a cooler tone on my Instagram feed too… what makes us so obsessed with those icy blue tones huh?
