Me, Myself and I

Ever since I was a young girl, I’ve always been an entertainer. From creating dances to perform in assembly at primary school (who knows where I got that courage from) to doing yearly dance shows since I was 2 years old, I’ve always wanted to be in front of the camera. Showing off my creativity to the world and expressing myself freely, it’s always been something that’s made me happy. Especially when it comes to dance. I think that the reason I never got fazed by dancing in shows or acting in front of my year group at school, it was because they both seemed so natural to me and they both made me extremely happy.

For me, this blog is another way for me to express myself creatively and speak about my other love in life, which is fashion. I wouldn’t say it’s narcissistic of me to want to want to put myself in front of the camera (and trust me, it most definitely isn’t most of the time), but whenever I have a vision I see myself playing the lead role. Creating these stories in my mind, daydreaming about how my life would be if a particular situation turned out to play. I mean, I can’t deny that appearances don’t matter – after all I am here talking about how much clothes impact my mood – but being able to conjure up a creative vision and then bring that expression to life, from my mind to reality, that is truly satisfying. Further, to share it with everyone I love and anyone who cares to watch my expression is a really wonderful feeling to me. Like I said, I was born an entertainer.

Although I share a lot here with you on the blog, I still felt like I wanted to connect with you a bit more personally and let you guys get to know me just a little bit more. So I created this video, 45 Facts About Me. It’s tounge-in-cheek, beautiful, raw, open and imperfect. I’m loving creating video content and it’s certainly something that you’ll be seeing more this year as I continue to experiment and grow my skills in the editing department. There’s clips I took on a day out in Leeds, combined with some old footage of me when I was 3-6 years old that is both hilarious and, if i do say so myself, adorably cute sometimes.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on the video! So please do, take a look and share with your friends.
