White Winter

Knitwear was definitely an area in my wardrobe that needed a serious re-haul, and if I do say so myself, I think that I’ve done pretty alright with it this year! Ever since the introduction of lace up heels came into my life via my style guru Aimee Song, I’ve been loving anything that has a bit of a statement tie detail. This cream jumper is the perfect thrown on piece for those lazy days where I’m sitting at my computer doing work, or for when I’m headed on a day out in the city and want to stay warm whilst still looking presentable. The detailing on the sleeves is something I haven’t seen in any other designs before and adds that bit of intrigue to the outfit that I’m always looking for.

These shots were taken at the beginning of December, which is probably noticeable as you definitely wouldn’t find me wearing any outfit without the addition of a large wool coat because it’s quite frankly freeeeeezing at the moment. I love the icy cold quality that these images have in the whites and blues that somehow make me hopeful to see a glimpse of snow before we head into summer (am I crazy!?).

I’m now back down South after enjoying the many home comforts back at my parents up North. I usually find myself getting a bit agitated and twiddling my thumbs when I’m back home in my small town in Yorkshire, but this holiday I think I’ve found myself getting a little bit too comfortable and sleeping wayyyy past my alarm, oops. Now I’m back South, I’m filled with that same sense of optimism and enthusiasm that I always get being near the busy city of London. This month is going to be a busy one for me, mainly due to the fact that I have a dissertation due in at the end of month. So at the moment I’m procrastinating on my work with my blog, and vice versa with my blog on my work. It’s a fairly good balance that works well so long as I don’t spend too much time on one over the other. Have you guys got any upcoming deadlines you’re working towards? I’d love to know your tips if you have any!
