If you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past month, then you might be unaware of this Fall’s hottest new color – it is quite literally, on fire. Of course, I’m talking about the color Red! Every high street brand, mother, daughter and son are talking about this fiery hue as THE color of the season.
I couldn’t be more of a walking trend if I tried with this one (but if you read my previous blog post, then you’ll understand why I’m not blame): a frilled red jumpsuit? Almost, fashion overkill. But surprisingly the whole look remains rather understated. After all, less is more!
You know me by now, I can’t sit here and write a post without weaving in some personal life lessons. After feeling a bit lost and loosing motivation, writing my last blog post really put me back on track.
See, I’ve come to a bit of a revelation. I am an introvert/extrovert. Yep, apparently this personality type does exist! It’s called an ambivert and it’s finally a personality that I feel describes me best. In hindsight, it could just be down to the fact that my Gemini personality is very indecisive so I don’t want to pick one or the other! (Could I find anymore things to blame my existence on?)
Getting back on track… last Saturday I took the weekend to myself. I went and found myself a great coffee shop that I could set up station in, got myself through a few flat whites and matcha lattes and felt SO productive. Then I came home, and suddenly all my focus disappears. It’s that weird mixture of being comfortable in my own company and happy to entertain myself, but then thriving off being in an atmosphere and space with other people. Anyone else feel this?
To conclude though, no matter whether you’re an introvert, extrovert, ambivert or whatever other flipping name they may come up with… what really matters in life is that you are living authentically. Whatever that means to you. I’ve found my Black Chai box of Yogi Tea’s to be a great source of inspiration recently. The tag quote on my recent cuppa said ‘The purpose of life is to know, love and trust yourself. Be yourself’.
So mull on that whilst you sip your next cuppa…
