Beach at Sunset

You’ve seen this dress before on the blog, but when I got it I instantly knew that I had to bring it with me on holiday. Paired with a red lip and gold accessorizes, I have to say, I did feel like the ultimate beach babe.

We went for tea one evening in a place called Salema and ate food at a restaurant on the beach front. If you ever do go to the Algarve, be sure to put Salema on your list, if not for the amazing beach, but the small (yet wonderful) selection of restuarants. Salema is also home to the smallest bar in the world! And it doesn’t disappoint either.

I’m going to put out something that perhaps might shock a few of you, but I don’t really enjoy the beach. Or specifically, I don’t enjoy the beach in sweating hot weather. In fact, I did stay in the shade a lot of the time during this holiday, especially during the midday sun from around 12-4. I actually tend to tan very fast and well, but this year I was more bothered about protecting my skin and having fun without feeling like a hot potato.

But, give me a beach in the morning and the evening and I’m all for it. There’s always been something so relaxing and calming for me about being next to the sea when the air is cool and the sun is light and airy. I think my little niece was feeling this vibe too, as she was rolling around in the sand like a dog!! In fact, moments like these make me feel so happy that I don’t even mind a blurry picture if it has captured the happiness that I felt.

Also, I’ve been loving wearing these layered gold necklaces with all my outfits. Even if it’s just with a bikini around the pool!
