A Cut Above

Guys! I can’t believe that it has been over a week since I last posted on here… I guess that’s what a dissertation does to you huh? Thankfully, with that hand in over and dusted I can now get back to interacting and sharing content on here. Truthfully? I’ve really missed it and I can’t wait to get back to a regular posting schedule, so watch make sure that you watch this space. You might have remembered from a recent blog post that I said I was currently going through a process of revamping my knitwear wardrobe. It has been extremely cold in London over the past couple of weeks, I even found myself caught in a bit of a snowstorm at one point! So keeping warm is definitely a high priority for me right now (is it summer yet?).

For me, I love a good turtleneck jumper. It keeps your neck warm, looks chic and you can also tuck your hair in it to create a faux bob, something I quite like the look of… just not permanently. Although my closet does mainly consist of blacks, whites, greys and the odd navy, I don’t think I’ve ever worn a look that is what I believe people would call ‘Scandinavian Style’. Taking a detour from my usual go-to black skinny jeans, I thought that I would find myself the perfect pair of tailored pants.

Creating a truly Scandinavian inspired look is all about the cut and fit. Despite how easy the outfit looks to create, a badly cut pair of trousers would completely throw the outfit off. It took me a few different go’s to find the perfect pair of pants for me until I finally found the perfect cut, fit, length, shape and comfiness all together. All combined, create this really minimalist look that is ultra comfortable yet chic at the same time. I think that I could really get onboard with this aesthetic! What do you guys think?
